Why Online Counseling?
Safety first. With the current Covid-19 pandemic, telehealth/online counseling is the safest way for us to meet. My online practice allows me to meet with you wherever you are in the state of North Carolina, and I will be available long-term with no plans to return to face to face practice.
Also, because it’s all online, teletherapy gives ease of access! With online counseling, you can connect to our counseling session using your phone, tablet, a laptop or desktop computer from anywhere in North Carolina with a stable internet connection.
If you’re in a rural area, you save travel time, gas money, and childcare expenses (as required) by having the session come to you, virtually, through your personal devices in a location of your choosing.
It can also be much easier for those with physical limitations. No need to worry about office accessibility or making the journey.
Online Therapy helps me keep my fees low, to allow more access to those who would otherwise not be able to afford services.
In a nutshell, it’s all about convenience. If you elect for a brief 10 to 15-minute consultation phone call, we can discuss the pros and cons of online counseling further.
What Do Counseling Sessions Look Like?
Before your session, I will send you a unique link to your email that will connect you to our secure and HIPAA protected telehealth session. Once you click the link to join, it will look much like a Skype or Facetime session! We will talk face to face virtually just as we would in an in-person meeting. Once our time is up, we simply disconnect from the chat and continue about the day.
