Hi, I’m Leah.
My name is Leah Riddell (she/her/hers) and I would love to be your therapist.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate (LCASA) for the state of North Carolina. I have a passion for supporting people who are navigating change in their life, taking new steps into their own worlds. I am especially passionate about serving those in rural areas, having experienced first hand what it was like to be bored in a small town and everything else that accompanies small-town life.
My interests include video games (PC and Xbox), family, all things music, memes, and weird TV. I feel strongly about advocating for peoples of all genders, races, and cultural backgrounds. I am a stepmother in a blended family who enjoys the occasional hair color change and a lover of all animals.
I provide online counseling services to adults and couples with mental, emotional and/or behavioral health concerns as well as substance use disorders and challenges with habit control. Among other mental health concerns, I provide services to help individuals and their families treat and/or manage the cause and symptoms of depression, anxiety, panic, phobia, conduct/behavioral problems, trauma, grief, and substance use related concerns.
I earned a master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from East Carolina University specializing in Substance Abuse Counseling and Military & Trauma Counseling. I have experience in offering individual, family, and group counseling sessions, workshops and trainings, special programs, and case management.
I am under supervision in the state of North Carolina and hold a license as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) and as a Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate (LCASA). My supervisors are Lindley Cherry, MS, LCAS, LCMHC, CSI and W. Leigh Atherton, PhD, LCMHCS, LCAS, CRC, CCS and can be reached at 252-744-0328.
